This is the flagship wine of our winery. As its name ‘Barrica’ indicates, it is made in French oak barrels, which is what gives it the distinctive character which makes it so special. This is the wine which has won the most awards and mentions for our winery; recently it was chosen as the best Galician white wine from a field of 250 brands of albariño. Years ago when we decided to return to the roots of albariño wine and make it in wood, we never dreamed that our little experiment would be so well appreciated. This wine only goes on to the market in years when the quality of the harvest permits it.

TASTING NOTES:
The wine is a stunning straw colour, with hints of gold. It has a complex nose, laden with fruit (baked apple, apricot, mushroom), light notes of caramel, mineral aromas and a hint of wood. The palate is structured, expressive and elegant, dominated by the fruitiness typical of an albariño over the persistent flavours of spices and precious hard woods. Complex and full, it has a long finish ending in ripe fruit. A well-balanced whole.
